The first half of 2013, LG display large LCD panel in the global market share topped the list.
According to the report released by the market research agency Display Search 20, the total supply of large-scale LCD panels above 9.1 inches in the first half of this year totaled 337.77 million units, down 5.2% from the same period last year (3.5387 billion units). LG display which supply 88.96 million units, the market share of 26.2%, topped the list.
The second quarter of this year, LG display shipments reached 44.35 million units, the market share of 25.3%, following the fourth quarter of 2009 after 15 consecutive quarters to occupy the world's largest LCD panel market first.
Samsung display in the first half of the supply of 70.38 million units, the market share of 20.7%, ranked runner-up. China's Taiwan region's Innolux and AUO were ranked third and fourth in terms of 61.79 million units (18.2%) and 54.43 million units (16%), respectively. From the sales and area standards, LG monitors are still both occupy the championship. LG display in the first half of large LCD panel sales of 100.7 billion US dollars (27.4%), sales area of 16.763 million square meters (25.7%), ranking first in the world. Samsung monitors sales and area of 7.46 billion US dollars (20.3%) and 14,187,000 square meters (21.8%), runner-up.
The overall sales of large-scale LCD panels in the first half of the year reached 36.81 billion US dollars, representing a decrease of 4.7% over the same period last year, the overall sales area of 65,117,000 square meters, an increase of 9.8%.
According to the country and region, the Chinese mainland display manufacturer's performance is particularly prominent. Mainland China in the first half of large LCD panel supply accounted for 13% of the global market, 9.3% over the same period last year increased by nearly 4 percentage points. South Korea's market share, although 52.8% in the first half of last year dropped to 46.9%, but still firmly occupy the global championship.
