1-1. Installation
The LCD module is mounted to the equipment used on the PCB using the mounting holes on the PCB. The display inside the module consists of two thin sheets of glass that are easily damaged. Therefore, be careful when installing the application.
1-2. Cleaning of the module
When cleaning the module, use a soft cloth to remove a small amount of solvent (recommended below).
- Isopropanol
- Ethanol
Avoid scrubbing the display surface with dry or hard objects to avoid damaging the polarizer.
Do not use the following solvents:
- water
- ketones
- aromatic compounds
1-3. Prevent static electricity
The driver IC used on the LCD module is a C-MOS LSI. Therefore, do not connect any unused input to VDD or Vss. Do not input any signal to the module before the power is turned on, and ground the operator's body, workbench, and assembly station. Install the device to prevent static electricity.
1-4. Packaging
The LCD module is protected from severe vibration or falls from a height.
To prevent aging of the module, avoid working or storing it under direct sunlight or in a high temperature or high humidity environment.
1-5. Operation (Precautions)
- The LCD module must be driven within the specified voltage range. Higher than the specified drive voltage will shorten the life of the LCD module.
- DC current will cause the LCD to deteriorate, so avoid using DC drive.
- The response time of the LCD will be significantly longer when the temperature is below the operating temperature range, and the LCD color will be darker than the operating temperature range.
- The phenomenon will return to normal when working within the recovery operating temperature range, not the quality of the product.
- If the display area is pressed hard during working conditions, some characters will display an error, but will return to normal after being closed once.
- Condensation on the electrode terminals may open due to electrochemical reactions.
- At the highest operating temperature, the humidity should be less than 50% RH.
1-6 storage
If long-term storage (such as one year), the following methods are recommended:
- Enclose the module in a polyethylene plastic bag to protect it from moisture.
- Placed in a place where it is protected from light and the temperature is within the specified storage temperature range.
- Avoid any objects touching the surface of the polarizer during storage. (It is recommended to store in the inner bag when delivered)
1-7. Security
It is recommended to break the damaged or useless LCD module and clean the liquid crystal with ethanol and propanol, then burn it off. If you accidentally stick the leaked LCD inside the damaged LCD panel to your hands, wash it off with soapy water.
2. Precautions for use
2 -1. When the supplier and the buyer agree to provide a certain number of samples for evaluation, a certain number of samples shall be provided in accordance with the method agreed by both parties. After the sample is confirmed, it is confirmed that the sample will be evaluated in batches.
2-2. The following situations are resolved through negotiation between the two parties.
- When there is a problem with this specification;
- when new problems not specified in this specification occur;
- When a customer has problems with inspection specifications and usage conditions changes;
- When a new problem occurs in the module sample size at the customer installation review, and therefore a dispute arises.
